BYD and Uber signs a new deal

Chinese carmaker BYD will build 100,000 electric vehicles (EVs) for Uber drivers. App-based transport service Uber has given this information in a recent announcement. News BBC.

Drivers will be incentivized to replace conventional cars with EVs, with discounts on maintenance, charging, financing and leasing, the two companies said.

The deal will first come into effect on routes in Europe and Latin America. After that, the Chinese company's cars will gradually enter the Middle East, Canada, Australia and New Zealand markets.
